PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a device and a method for inspecting an optical system by which the focusing state of the optical system is adjusted by easy operation. SOLUTION: Beams emitted from 1st to 5th light sources 17 to 21 form images at 1st to 5th image forming positions P to T on a screen 32. A measuring person adjusts a distance L by moving a main body part 12 in a direction parallel with the optical axis of a lens 24 so that the image is formed to be a spot image.
