PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a television receiver with a view limiting function that can effectively limit view of even reproduced video of a recording and reproducing device by placing the view limiting function of limiting view of specified programs and channels without spoiling anything. SOLUTION: In addition to a conventional means of operating a view limiting function, the television receiver with a video recording and reproducing device has the means of operating the view limiting function on the recording and reproducing device side and mutes only video exceeding a view limitation level set during editing by the recording and reproducing device to limit view of even video outputted by the recording and reproducing device.
