摘要 PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an imaging apparatus for suppressing production of a false color in interpolation processing even when an object image includes a rapid change in the luminance and the color. SOLUTION: An LED module 131 being a wavelength light source for separating the maximum luminescent wavelengths in a way of respectively including B, G, R components of the three primary colors of light is provided to a lighting unit 13 as its light source. The maximum luminescent wavelengths of the LED module 131 are matched with maximum transmission wavelengths in the spectral sensitivity characteristic of an imaging element 121. The three maximum luminescent wavelengths of the LED module 131 are included in transmission regions shown in "peaks" in the spectral sensitivity characteristic so that an imaging signal value is represented by the sum of light receiving signals of the different color components. Light emitting elements of the color components of the LED module 131 are lighted in time division, and the imaging element 121 stores electric charges respectively in the lighting timings of the light emitting elements. The information of the different color components at a target pixel position is estimated by using a sensitivity ratio at the three maximum luminescent wavelengths included in the "peaks" of the spectral sensitivity characteristic and actually obtained signal values (imaging signals with color components different from those of color filters provided at the target pixel position).
