PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To impart the habitable environment with spaciousness, excellent in daylighting and ventilation, to dwelling units on each floor of a building. SOLUTION: The plurality of dwelling units 10, which are provided with an open ceiling section partially opened outward at least in a lateral direction and elongated to a directly upper floor so that two layers can communicate with each other, are arranged in an aligned manner on the same floor and stacked over a plurality of floors. In the open ceiling section 20, three horizontal sides are enclosed with internal spaces 10a of the almost U-shaped dwelling units on the n-th floor; one side except the three horizontal sides is opened to be exposed to outside air; and on the (n+1)th floor, the dwelling units, which are positioned between the adjacent dwelling units 10 and 10 and provided with the open ceiling section, are arranged in the state of being stacked in a staggered pattern in the front view of the building.
