PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To solve a problem wherein work becomes complicated and cannot be efficiently performed because, although workpieces are arranged at a pitch interval suitable for efficient and secure processing when suspending them on a suspension hanger, workpieces are arranged at a pitch interval suitable for a previous stage at the previous stage and both pitch intervals do not agree often and workpieces W are transferred one by one by manual work in this case. SOLUTION: A grip member 40 grips one row of workpieces W arranged in a storage vessel 70 at a first predetermined pitch P1, conveys them to a first pitch change member 32, and transfers them to the first pitch change member 32 to change to a second predetermined pitch interval P2. One row of workpieces W are gripped by the grip member 40 again, are conveyed to the suspension hanger H, and are transferred to the suspension hanger H to hold the workpieces W at the second pitch interval.
