PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To accurately position a projecting part of a cap to a channel part provided on a step difference part of a bottle so as to be driven. SOLUTION: In a cap driving apparatus 10, a first operation abutting the projecting part 206 of the cap 200 gripped by a chuck 18 to the step difference part 102 of the bottle 100, a second operation rotating the cap 200 under a condition abutting the projecting part 206 of the cap 200 to the step difference part 102 of the bottle 100 and sliding the projecting part 206 of the cap 200 to the step difference part 102 of the bottle 100 to drop it into the channel part 103, and a third operation driving the cap 200 into the bottle 100 with the projecting part 206 of the cap 200 dropped into the channel part 103 of the bottle 100, are made to be successively practiced.
