PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a fuel tank or a fuel pipe excellent in salt damage/corrosion resistance. SOLUTION: The fuel tank or the fuel pipe molded using a steel plate or a steel pipe containing Cr: 9.0-25.0% at mass% as a material has a clearance structure portion having an opening amount of 0.3 mm or less or depth of 0.5 mm or more on a surface exposed to salt damage environment. In the fuel tank or the fuel pipe excellent in salt damage/corrosion resistance, the opening of the structure is coated with resin coating or metal powder-containing coating to close the opening.
