An umbrella bag storage device, wherein umbrella bags (30) are filled in a device body (1), and a tongue piece (19) and a ferrule plate (17) opening the openings (31) of the umbrella bags (30) are rotatably fitted to a rotary plate (15). The tip of a foldable umbrella (40) is brought into contact with the ferrule plate (17) to rotate it so as to open the opening (31) of the umbrella bag (30) by the tongue piece (19). The ferrule plate (17) and the tongue piece (19) are allowed to advance and retreat by the engagement of an elongated hole (17c) with the projected portion of a first pivot shaft (14), and forwardly energized toward the umbrella bag (30) by a torsional spring (21). Thus, a hand extended into the device is prevented from being held by an opening operation member when the foldable umbrella is stored in the umbrella bag.
