A hose clip comprises a wire ring with overlapping end portions with interengaging teeth 21, 22 and with notches 11, 12 adjacent the teeth for a tightening tool. According to modifications, the teeth are off set from the plane of the ring, the teeth comprise a helical screw or are truncated conical and are undercut, or a helical screw portion attached to one end of the ring is rotatable about its longitudinal axis by a tool inserted in a socket in the end, to engage with a toothed portion on the other end of the wire. A spring strap may partially enclose the end portions. The ring may be hinged midway along its length or have a central small loop acting as a hinge. |
