Certain embodiments of the system (100) include an information manager (110) including clinical content, such as images and/or information, and a communication manager (140) receiving an event notification from the information manager (110). The system (100) may further include an interface (120) capable of accessing the information manager (110). Additionally, the system (100) may include a contact device capable of communicating via the communication manager (140). A modality (130) may transmit examination data to the information manager (110) and may receive instructions for the information manager (110). In an embodiment, the communications manager (140) includes a contact information list with one or more contact devices associated with a user. The communications manager (140) may be capable of detecting a presence of a user on a network.
