A plasma display panel which is capable of decreasing a discharge firing voltage and reducing a reset period and an addressing period to improve a luminescence efficiency. The plasma display panel includes: a first (10) and second (20) substrate arranged to face each other with a predetermined space therebetween and having a plurality of discharge cells (18,28) defined in the space between the first and second substrates; a plurality of phosphor layers (19,29) formed inside the respective discharge cells; first (31) and second (32) display electrodes formed to extend along a first direction and between the first and second substrates to correspond to the respective discharge cells, the respective first and second display electrodes facing each other with a space therebetween to expand in a third direction from the first substrate to the second substrate; and first (11) and second (12) address electrodes formed to extend along a second direction intersecting the first direction, between the first and second substrates, and separated from each other in the third direction |
