Control knob for mechanical encoder

The knob has a rotating wheel (16) with a ring gear (160) at a base. The ring gear has axial circular notches (164) to set protrusions (206, 208) in contact with contact conductors (228, 230) facing the protrusions, in a manner to deliver a pulse train, which is function of the direction and an angular displacement of the wheel, for a control unit. Arms have lugs (210, 212) in their middle to cooperate with the notches of the wheel. An independent claim is also included for a ventilation heating and/or air conditioning apparatus control assembly comprising a control knob.
