Supply circuit for an ignition electrode

The ignition circuit has a transformer whose primary coil can be controlled by a pulse generator circuit. The ignition electrode is connected to the secondary coil of the transformer, and has a capacitor connected to the primary coil. The capacitor is charged via a thyristor. The thyristor is connected in parallel with this series circuit and is connected to a mains terminal via a resistor and a diode. The trigger terminal of the thyristor is controlled via a transistor which is controlled by an RC circuit connected to the middle terminal of a voltage divider circuit. The transistor is connected to the capacitor of this RC circuit and is base connection is connected to the middle terminal of the voltage divider.
