Each leg is formed by a loop made from nylon band or a similar strong textile material which has been stitched together to provide horizontal support beneath the heel of the patient. The ends of the loop are joined vertically together in a hole which is reinforced by an eyelet and designed to receive a carabine hook used to lift the loop. A hook and loop fastener band is secured to the upper part of the loop and designed to secured around the front part of the foot. The hanger (9) from which the loop is suspended has an elongated flat shape, containing preferably three holes (10) extending through its flat side close to its bottom edge so that two loops can be lifted simultaneously with a variable distance between them. Another hole (11) in the hanger is located at midway point close to its upper edge and used to lift or winch the lifting system as a whole.
