A crank comprises a crank-pin 7 which is connected to a shaft 2 by an arm 8 of synthetic plastics material, preferably polyamide, the adjacent ends of the pin 7 and shaft 2 being of reduced diameter and formed with knurlings or millings to which the plastics material is applied by casting or injection. One of the ends may have a cross-section of half-moon shape. The distance between the axes of the shaft 2 and crank-pin 7 is less than the sum of their full radii. The crank may be used in a sewing machine, a cinematograph projector or a cine camera. |
