The invention refers to a vertically adjustable furniture unit (1) with at least two vertically adjustable legs (2, 3) each with an outer leg section (4), an inner leg section (5) and a foot (6). Each leg (2, 3) ha a drive motor (15) for raising and lowering the leg (2, 3). The furniture unit (1) has a signal button (10) connected to one leg (2), the master leg, by means of which the user gives signals (33) for raisin and lowering, respectively. The signal (33) is transmitted further to the other leg(s) (3), the slave leg(s), by the intermediary of a communication conductor (12) through which exchange of information signals takes place between the master leg (2) and the slave leg(s) (3).
