There is provided an information processing device capable of identifying an inhibiting factor inhibiting power saving. The information processing device has a plurality of operation modes using different power consumptions and includes: a main device for changing the operation mode according to a request from a sub- device; an operation mode detection section for detecting the operation mode of the main device; an inhibiting factor identification section for identifying the sub-device which has transmitted a request to the main device or the processing of the main device performed in response to the request from the sub-device as an inhibiting factor according to the history of the operation mode of the main device detected by the operation mode detection section.
