<p>The pyrolysis petroleum contg. styrenes and diolefins is subjected to a hydrotreatment in the liquid phase in the presence of a supported Pt or Pd catalyst, at 49-204 degrees C/14.1-70.3 kg/cm2 press according to the nature of the feed, its S content and the purity of H2, (i.e. its methane content), a temp. of 66-177 degrees C being preferred. The hydrotreated product free from diolefins and styrenes but contg. other aromatic hydrocarbons and monoolefins, is withdrawn, and being at a higher temp. than the initial feed, is recycled in part to the initial feed in order to heat it and bring it up to the hydrotreatment temp; the rest of the hydrotreated product is recovered.</p> |
