The device has a sealing unit (8) which is provided in an inner panel (6) of a door (5) of a motor vehicle. The unit (8) is provided in the form of a shutter and the panel is situated in a side of a passenger compartment of the motor vehicle. The unit (8) totally covers the handle, when the door closes the passenger compartment, in a manner to prevent unlocking and opening of a hood of the vehicle.
