<p>A fluid pump including a housing (101) defining a cavity (102) having a cavity axis. The housing (101) has two fluid inlets (105C, 105D) and outlets (106A, 106B) and a set of coils (11 IA, 11 IB) for generating a magnetic field. An impeller (103) is positioned in the cavity (102), the impeller (103) having two sets of vanes (104A, 104B), each set of vanes (104A, 104B) being adapted to urge fluid from a respective inlet (105C, 105D) to a respective outlet (106A, 106B), in use. A drive system is also provided for rotating the impeller (103) about the cavity axis and controlling an axial position of the impeller (103) in a direction parallel to the cavity axis to thereby control the relative flows from each inlet (105C, 105D) to each respective outlet (106A, 106B).</p> |
