<p>An endovascular surgical device comprises a cannula (10) disposed about a longitudinally-extending axis, and a supporting membrane structure (20) defining a generally central aperture (14) through which the cannula passes. The membrane structure has (a) an elongated wall portion surrounding the aperture, (b) an outer flange portion (16), (c) an expandable bellowed intermediate portion (18) between the elongated wall portion and the outer flange portion, and (d) a sealing surface formed on at least part of the outer flange portion for sealing against a patient's skin about an incised region overlying the patient's femoral artery.</p> |
