The procedure for making flat wires (4a, 4b, 4c, 4d) by cold-rolling round wires (2a, 2b, 2c, 2d) on a machine with feed (1), takeup (3) and two or more rolling (5, 6) posts, has at least two parallel wires passing through the rolling posts at a time. The thickness of each of the wires is measured as it leaves the last rolling post, and the pressure on the rollers is adjusted accordingly to achieve the required values. |
