<p>The present invention relates to an ex vivo diagnostic method for the detection of malignant tumorigenic development or cancer in a human individual, the method being based on the differential determination of at least one compound present in a bodily fluid of a diseased or healthy donor before and after addition of an alkaloid compound, particularly of the commercially available mixture of alkaloid derivatives known as UKRAIN®. The invention further relates to a diagnostic kit for carrying out the method, and for the use of such alkaloid derivatives as diagnostic tools in cancer diagnostics.</p> |
