It is to provide a composition for promoting osteogenesis and increasing bone mineral content with a function of (promoting) osteogenesis and increasing bone mineral content, having a significant effect, which promotes actively osteogenesis to prevent/treat bone diseases, a preventative/therapeutic agent for bone diseases, a functional food or food material for preventing/treating bone diseases, and feed composition. A composition for promoting osteogenesis and increasing bone mineral content and a preventative/therapeutic agent for bone diseases comprising ²-cryptoxanthin and zinc compound at a concentration that does not exhibit a significant effect of increasing bone calcium level when used separately, as active ingredients are prepared. Further, ²-cryptoxanthin and zinc compound are added/compounded to a food or food material, or feed, at a concentration that does not exhibit a significant increasing effect of bone calcium level, when used separately. |
