Plates in an accumulator case are dried by blowing hot gas into the case through its open top and subsequently withdrawing the gas from the case through its open top. In the drawing accumulator case 1 containing sets of plates 11 and separators is mounted in an inverted position on spaced conveyers comprising sprocket chains 5 and rollers 6, the plates being supported by members 51. Hot air is blown in through inlets 2 and sucked out through outlet 3. The inlets 2 comprise heating elements which may be controlled by temperature and/or humidity sensing means. The distance between the conveyers and size of the suction outlets 3 are adjustable. |
