SLEWING MECHANISM

A slewing mechanism, comprising a slewing table (10) horizontally installed on a carrier (32) and having a ring gear (11) along the inner peripheral surface thereof, a bearing member (13) horizontally rotatably supporting a slewing body (12) on the slewing table (10), a motor (20) having a pinion gear (21) connected to its output shaft, a circular faucet part (17) formed on the motor case (25) of the motor (20) and having an axis at a position parallel with and offset from the axis of the pinion gear (21), a circular insert hole (16) formed in the slewing body (12) and accepting the faucet part (17), and a fixing means (27) releasably fixing the motor case (25) to the slewing body (12) so that the pinion gear (21) can be engaged with the ring gear (11) in the fitted state of the faucet part (17) to the insert hole (16) and the motor case (25) can be rotated a prescribed range relative to the slewing body (12) about the axis of the faucet part (17).
