The solar protection cloth is a composite. It comprises several layers of differing materials. These layers include a central reflective layer (R), an exterior layer (E) and a layer of decoration (D). Each of the layers has a specific effect which is different and complementary to the others. The layers are separated by intervening air layers, which are formed by attaching the cloth layers in suitably-spaced, partially-closed concave grooves. The grooves are formed in holding bars (A, B, C). Edges of the cloth are thickened (e.g. by rods inserted in seams) for insertion and holding in the grooves
