The device (10) has a case (11) comprising multiple parallel heating units (13), and a number of electronic interrupters (15) selectively acting on the heating units. A control circuit (17) assures control of the heating units through the interrupters. A zone of the case, traversed by an air flow (1) produced by a propeller, has cells for receiving the heating units, interrupters and control circuit. An independent claim is also included for a heating, ventilation and/or air conditioning appliance for a motor vehicle.
