The device has a wheel (6) which transmits, to a sensor (7) housed in a movable arm (5), its turns according to speed of a skier. The wheel couples with a ski course in quasi permanent manner using a tensioning device (1) which connects the arm to a base (3) in a manner to force the contact of the wheel on the course while conserving a limited clearance. The base is fixed to the rear of a snow ski by gluing or screwing.
