METHOD OF INDUCING GENOME REORGANIZATION VIA INTRACELLULAR ACTIVATION OF THERMOSTABLE MULTIFREQUENCY DNA-CLEAVING ENZYME

A method of elevating the genetic recombination frequency in a genomic DNA and a method of inducing genome reorganization. Namely, it is intended to provide a method of elevating the genetic recombination frequency of a cell in which genetic recombination arises at an arbitrary site in the genome which comprises expressing a restriction enzyme in the cell, inducing the temporary activation of the restriction enzyme, and thus introducing two or more double-strand cleavages in an arbitrary genomic DNA in the cell to thereby elevate the genetic recombination frequency; a method of inducing genome reorganization by using the above-described method; and cells respectively constructed with the use of these two methods.
