METHOD FOR PRODUCING OXIDE SUPERCONDUCTING WIRE

A method for producing an oxide superconducting wire, which comprises steps (S1 to 4) for preparing a wire having a form wherein raw material powders for an oxide superconducting wire are covered with a metal, a step (S5) of rolling the resultant wire, a step (S6) of heat-treating the wire after rolling (S5) in a pressurized atmosphere, wherein the rolling reduction in the rolling (S5) is 50 to 80 %. The above method can provide an oxide superconducting wire being improved in superconducting characteristics.
