Information management in a network having temporary nodes and static nodes, wherein the static nodes store information profiles regarding shared files, the information profiles being distributed to the nodes based on a hash function and node identifiers of both the temporary nodes and the static nodes. A temporary node receiving a lookup request on information on shared data related to a keyword (101), the temporary node obtains a node identifier of a related static node (102) storing the information profile and forward the request to the related static node using the obtained node identifier (103). The related static node is obtained by mapping the node identifier of the temporary node onto the static nodes based on the hash function and the node identifiers of the static nodes.
