PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a surface-mounting coil adapted to boost up a heat dissipation effect and exercise reliably the performance as designed, and also having an excellent endurance property. SOLUTION: The surface-mounting coil has a drum core 20 provided with an upper flange 23 and a lower flange 24 at both of upper and lower ends of a winding spindle 22 for winding a coil winding 21, a ring core 30 for receiving the drum core 20, and two metal terminals 40 arranged in opposed positions to each other on the outer circumferential surface of the ring core 30. Each metal terminal 40 has a belt-like section 41 covering one of outer side surfaces and two corners adjoining the one outer side surface of the ring core 30; and bent sections 42a to 42d configured to receive these corner sections in an up-down directionally interposed arrangement. On the upper side of the bent section 42b in the bent sections 42a to 42d corresponding to one of the corners of each of the metal terminals 41, a groove 43 is formed to be connected electrically to an end of winding 21.
