PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a manufacturing method of a solid electrolytic capacitor capable of sufficiently increasing high temperature reliability in the solid electrolytic capacitor. SOLUTION: The manufacturing method of the solid electrolytic capacitor comprises a preparation process for preparing a valve action metal substrate, where a dielectric layer is formed on the surface, and a solid electrolyte layer formation process for forming a solid electrolyte layer on the dielectric layer of the valve action metal substrate. In the solid electrolyte layer formation process, polymerization treatment and abbreviated polymerization treatment are performed at least once each so that the polymerization treatment is made finally. The polymerization treatment comprises a dipping step S110 for dipping the valve action metal substrate into a polymerizable solution containing a monomer and oxidizer before pulling up; a leaving step S103 for leaving the valve action metal substrate in a pulled-up state; and a cleaning step S104 for cleaning the surface of the valve action metal substrate.
