摘要 PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To solve the problem graphite oxidation of a fuel and a core when a large quantity of air invades into a nuclear reactor from broken primary system piping by natural circulation, which is an important problem on safety of the nuclear reactor. SOLUTION: In this high-temperature nuclear reactor system, in case of a rupture accident of piping constituting an inflow passage and an outflow passage, a gas lighter than air is supplied continuously to the core top part from a sustaining facing dispersion mechanism in order to prevent natural circulation of the invading air in the nuclear reactor, to thereby prevent a natural circulation flow of the air in the nuclear reactor.
