PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a damper capable of absorbing much energy even if the deformation of a building resulting from earthquake etc. is small and exhibiting strong damping force. SOLUTION: A pendulum member 4 is supported by a pair of supporting sections 3 and 3 provided to a frame 2, a vibration control rubber 16 is provided between the end section of the pendulum member 4 and the frame 2, the central part in the longitudinal direction of the pendulum member 4 is supported by the central part in the longitudinal direction of a pair of supporting sections 3 and 3, the central part in the longitudinal direction of the pendulum member 4 is formed wider than the end section side, and the central part in the longitudinal direction of the supporting members 3 and 3 is formed wider than the end section side.
