<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an image forming apparatus preventing malfunction or fault of an HDD from occurring by vibration caused by an opening/closing operation of a cover or the like. <P>SOLUTION: The image forming apparatus includes: an image read section; an openable/closable platen cover for covering the image read section; a cover sensor (1) 10 for detecting the opening/closing operation of the platen cover; a printer; a printer cover provided to the printer in an openable/closable manner; a cover sensor (2) 19 for detecting that the printer cover is open; an openable/closable jam release cover; a jam release cover sensor 20 for detecting that the jam release cover is opened; and the HDD 23 for storing data. When the cover sensor (1) detects the opening/closing operation of the platen cover, when the cover sensor (2) detects the opening state of the printer cover, or when the jam release cover sensor 20 detects the opening state of the jam release cover, an MPU 1 makes a control to stop read/write of the HDD 23. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2006,JPO&NCIPI |
