<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a video telephone which properly displays the face of a user while suppressing cost performance and can properly output volume and properly turn on lighting. <P>SOLUTION: In this video telephone having a camera 103 for performing imaging processing that brings about a magnification/reduction function of an object and generating image information, and a communication control means 114 for performing communication control of the transmission and reception of image information, voice information and other information about communication, a face detection program 111 is carried out to detect the face of a user in the imaging processing, a nuclear area being an area having redundancy including a face area being an area related to the face of the user is set, image information in which the nuclear area is magnified or reduced under a predetermined condition is generated, and the image information is transmitted to the opposite video telephone by the communication control. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2006,JPO&NCIPI |
