<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a communication apparatus for improving the certainty and security of communication. <P>SOLUTION: A wireless terminal 100 is provided with: a transmission propriety discrimination section 186 for controlling transmission timing of transmission data on the basis of an AIFS and a back-off value; and an AIFS management section 181 for adjusting an AIFS value with respect to the transmission data in response to n elapsed time from the occurrence of a transmission request of the transmission data. Thus, a smaller AIFS setting value is set to the transmission data with a longer elapsed time from the occurrence of the transmission request of the transmission data, and a prescribed waiting time obtained from the AIFS value and the back-off value is also set smaller. Since the transmission data can be transmitted with higher priority than that of other transmission data, the possibility of the transmission data being aborted by time-out is set lower.
