PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a photoconductive polymeric material which can be controlled by magnetic field application and which is sensitized by photoinduced electron spin polarization, and to provide a photoreceptor and an electrophotographic apparatus using the polymeric material. SOLUTION: The conductivity of the photoconductive polymeric material for light 5 is increased by a multiplet term state of polarized electron spin produced in an excitation relaxation process of molecules or atoms electronically-excited by applying a magnetic field 6. When this material is added as the sensitizer of a photoreceptor 1, the inter-spin-state velocity of a geminate pair is varied by applying a weak magnetic field of several ten mT, conductivity is efficiently controlled and a great sensitization effect can be obtained.
