PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an economical reef for growing sea urchins and algae, capable of efficiently growing or adhering both sea urchins and algae. SOLUTION: The reef for growing sea urchins and algae is characterized by forming a stone-filled steel boxy frame body 5 formed by filling stones in a steel boxy frame body 3 having screen substances 13, 15 on the under side and side circumferential faces, standing short size poles 18 on frame substances 14c of the front end side of the stone-filled steel boxy frame body 5 with a space in the right and left directions, standing long size poles 19 higher than the height of the short sized pole 14 on the frames 14a, 14c positioned by being separate from the frame 14c of the front side end to rear end side with a space in the right and left directions, laying an inclined base frame 20 upwardly inclined to the rear end side extended over each of the short size poles 18 and the long size poles 19, and fixing algae reef base plates in a row along the inclined base frame 20 to form an inclined algae reef roof 24.
