<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a grommet to protect a wire harness of an automobile which can be mounted even in a narrow space and follow sufficient expansion/contraction and bend. <P>SOLUTION: The grommet 50 constitutes a diaphragm part 58 consisting of a large diameter cylindrical part, a thin-walled connection cylindrical part and a small diameter cylindrical part. In the diaphragm part 58, the thin-walled connection cylindrical part is in a returned state, and inserted in the large diameter cylindrical part. When the tension is applied, the thin-walled connection cylindrical part is drawn outside from the large diameter cylindrical part. When the bend is applied, the thin-walled connection part can follow the bend. The grommet 50 is housed over a tip of a wire harness 40 which is arranged on a door and drawn to the body side, a hard tube to allow the wire harness to pass through is connected to the grommet, and the hard tube is slidably stored in a guide member in the door. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2006,JPO&NCIPI |
