<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To improve operator's operability of an apparatus provided with a graphic operation panel. <P>SOLUTION: In a display apparatus for control, a touch panel 25 detects operator's depression on a component image on a display picture. When operator's continuous depression onto the component image for prescribed time is detected by the touch panel 25, an event execution part 27 executes prescribed processing allocated to the component image. An image state changing part 26 changes the display state of the component image during the period that the touch panel 25 detects operator's continuous depression on the component image before starting the execution of the prescribed processing by the event execution part 27. Consequently, the operator can recognize the necessity of continuous depression on the component image and is not bewildered to perform succeeding operation.
