PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a gel electrolyte for a polymer battery substantially enhancing safety, and to provide the polymer battery equipped with the gel electrolyte. SOLUTION: The gel electrolyte for the polymer battery is prepared by impregnating a nonaqueous electrolyte in a nonflammable polymer mixture formed by dispersing a boron-containing nonflammability adding material in a polymer, and the polymer battery is equipped with the gel electrolyte for the polymer battery, a positive electrode, and a negative electrode. As the nonflammability adding material, a borazine compound is preferable, and as the polymer, a polyethylene oxide, a polyacrylate, and a polypropylene oxide are preferable.
