PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide portable radio equipment which can secure high gain for a human body and realizes reduction in an SAR. SOLUTION: When a user performs calling by voice with the finger put on the equipment, the finger is put on an antenna cover 107. Thus, the finger 501 does not come close to a surface-shaped elements 104, 105, so that the gain for the human body is prevented from begin deteriorated. When the surface-shaped element 105 is arranged at a side which does not face the human body in calling by voice, a part where antenna electric current concentrates gets away from the human body, so that the SAR is reduced.
