PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a repeater apparatus capable of controlling its output power level within a prescribed range with a simple configuration. SOLUTION: An amplifier 32 amplifies a downlink signal transmitted from base stations 200, 300 via an attenuator 31, and an amplifier 42 amplifies an uplink signal transmitted from a base station 400 via an attenuator 41. The attenuators 31, 41 increase/decrease the amount of attenuation stepwise on the basis of a control signal from a control circuit 52. A discrimination circuit 51 discriminates power levels of amplified outputs of the downlink signal and the uplink signal on the basis of output signals from the amplifiers 32, 42 and outputs first and second comparison signals denoting the magnitude correlation with first and second threshold values in a binary value.
