PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an optical disk reproducing device capable of improving accuracy of focus servo by improving the balance adjustment of a focus error signal. SOLUTION: When balance of a focus error signal is adjusted, first, the balance of the focus error signal is changed within a predetermined range. Then, the level of an RF signal during the balance change of the focus error signal is measured, and when the level of the RF signal becomes a maximum value during the measurement, the balance of the focus error signal is changed within the predetermined range. Then, jitters during the change are measured, and a middle balance adjust value between the balance adjust value of the focus error signal when the level of the RF signal is a maximum value and the balance adjust value of the focus error signal when the jitters are a minimum value is calculated.
