PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a blasting method for the inner surface of a container, preferable for grinding/decontamination/repainting work of a suppression chamber. SOLUTION: Instead of the conventional sand blasting method, a sponge blasting method is adopted. The major difference point between both methods is that the sponge blasting method enables curing for a scaffold 80. This difference enables grinding/decontamination/repainting work for each floor (horizontal division) of the scaffold 80. Thus, in finally performing grinding/decontamination/repainting work for the base 90 of the suppression chamber 70, the work can be performed in the state of removing the scaffold 80. Accordingly, the grinding/decontamination/repainting work can be performed for the whole area of the base 90 at a time, whereby as compared with the conventional sand blasting method requiring post-work for the scaffold anchor surface, work efficiency is improved remarkably and the quality of painting is enhanced remarkably.
