PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a small size, thin and high density filter unit using a filter medium with a high filling density. SOLUTION: A separator used for retaining a space between crests utilizes a thickness or a thickness of a rod material and/or a plate material. The filter medium having a bending resistance of 0.1-10 N×cm and a bulk density of 0.2-0.6 g/cc is pleated and the separator is clamped to unitize it. Thereby, the high density filter unit having a clearance of the space between the crests of the pleats of 0.25 to 2.5 mm can be provided. COPYRIGHT: (C)2006,JPO&NCIPI
