<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a right/left-balanced audio reproduction environment by grasping optimum transfer characteristics matching physical characteristics of the external ears and internal ears that a listener has. <P>SOLUTION: A sound source section 1 outputs right and left identical or different reproduction signals to a correction processing section 2. The correction processing section 2 processes the right and left reproduction signals with respect to a right/left time difference, right and left sound pressure levels, etc., according to input from the listener. An audio output section 3 outputs the signals processed by the correction processing section 2 as audio and, in concrete, constitute right and left speakers of headphones or earphones. A time difference adjustment processing section 12 of the correction processing section 2 calculates a right/left time delay difference and a time-difference-by-band adjustment processing section 14 divides the processing by bands and makes adjustments and a sound pressure level adjustment processing section 13 calculates a right/left sound pressure level difference and a sound-pressure-level-by-band adjustment processing section 15 divides the right/left sound pressure level difference by bands and makes adjustments. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2006,JPO&NCIPI |
